This exceptional 1950s Christian Dior peach silk dress with cross over bodice is a beautiful example of the designer's celebrated and timeless New Look aesthetic. With elegant line and construction, this piece showcases some exquisite tailoring with the wrap over sections at the front skilfully fashioned into a belt which fastens with a button at the reverse. There is a wide sweeping V neck, a full gently pleated ankle length skirt, ¾ length sleeves that are delicately shaped at the elbow and a central zip fastening at the reverse. This lovely dress is in excellent vintage condition, although notably there are some very small marks/discolouration (so small they do not show in photographs) that are discernible only in certain light. A wonderfully adaptable piece of occasion wear, would best suit a US size 4, Uk size 8.
